Host a Workshop or Side Event at the IBA Conference
Organization of workshops or side events during the IBA 2026 conference in Pescasseroli
We can offer the following opportunities to organize workshops:
Available time slots:
Sunday, 20th September 2026: Three locations, each with three time slots:
- 09:00–11:00 CET
- 11:30–13:30 CET
- 15:00–17:00 CET
Please note that Sunday, the 20th, is the Council meeting. Council members are required to attend the meeting and will not be able to attend a Sunday workshop.
Wednesday, 23 September 2026: Two locations, each with three time slots:
- 09:00–11:00 CET
- 11:30–13:30 CET
- 15:00–17:00 CET
Please note that Wednesday, the 23rd, is the field trip day. Participants will therefore need to choose between attending the field trip or the workshop.
Rules for workshop organization:
- The cost of a single 2-hour workshop is €250 (total), to cover running costs.
- The conference organizers will provide the venue and publish workshop information on the conference website.
- All other aspects of workshop organization are the responsibility of the proposing individual(s) or team(s), including:
- Programme development
- Participant invitations and registration
- Decisions regarding registration fees to cover the €250 workshop cost, if applicable
- Expressions of interest may be submitted until 31 March 2026.
However, workshops will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and availability of specific time slots cannot be guaranteed.
What is included in the cost:
- Use of the designated spaces for the workshop;
- Setup of the room with chairs, a table for the speakers, a screen, and a projector;
- Administrative costs for management and organization;
- Cleaning costs for the room after the event.
What is not included:
- Any materials required for conducting the workshop (pens, panels, paper, etc.);
- Anything not expressly specified under “What is included in the cost.”
